I then bought some Verbatim DVD+R disks which seem to have a good reputation and had the best reviews, i tried several attempts at burning on windows dvd maker which failed The first DVD I tried to burn failed, i was using a dvd disk which was probably rubbish, i have no idea of the make, it doesn't say anything on the disk, and i was using windows dvd maker I bought a new computer about 6 weeks ago now, a Dell Dimension E520 which has a Sony DVD+-RW AW-Q160S DDV re-writer and Vista Home Premium.
Sorry this is going to be a long post but I want to include all the details in the hope that someone can help me. I have read through other threads to try to find an answer but i'm not very knowledgeable about computers so most of what i've read I havn't been able to understand, i really need answers for dummies if possible. Hi I'm new here and I have a problem with burning DVD's (trying to burn films onto DVD's - avi files) that has just frustrated me so much and i have spent the last 3 or 4 days trying to fix but I can't, so I'm hoping that someone here with a lot more computer knowledge than me will be be able to help me.
